Kilcullen boxing had good weekend

Two Kilcullen boxers representing the Garda team, Eoin ONeill and Aodhán Byrne, were victors in a weekend of boxing at the National Stadium over the weekend, writes Brian Byrne.

The tournament included a Fire Department of New York (FDNY) team as well as contingents from the Kilcullen-based Garda team, Naas Unit 3, Drogheda's Holy Family, and clubs in Maynooth, Athy and Bunclody.

In other boxing news, Kilcullen members Peter McDonagh, James Mulhern and Patrick Nevin have been selected to represent Leinster IABA in Europe next month.
