Tender prepared for Thompson's Cross consultants

Kildare County Council has prepared a tender to select consultants to design a road safety fix  for Thompson's Cross, writes Brian Byrne.

Cllr Tracey O'Dwyer received confirmation on this at today's meeting of the Kildare-Newbridge MD, in response to a motion she raised.

She heard that consultants are expected to be appointed in the coming months to start the process which will determine what work is needed.

"This is not a straightforward junction by any means," Cllr O'Dwyer noted, "but I will continue to work on it with Kildare County Council."
