Preview of Thornton Lace mosaic on Thursday
A sneak preview of one of the mosaic designs for the Thornton Lace Project undertaken by the Bridge Camphill community will be shown at the third talk in the series, on Thursday 8 June, writes Brian Byrne.
The event starting at 10am in the Artaban Hall at Camphill the Bridge will include a presentation from guest group Borris Lace Exchange, who have successfully revived the similar social entrepreneurial response to a local need during the Famine times.
The Kilcullen project will mark the Thornton Lace initiative with a series of mosaics to be erected in five premises across Kilcullen during this summer.
Thursday's event will also include a workshop session where participants will have the chance to draw lace patterns using charcoal.
