Upgraded local bus service will benefit Kilcullen
A new extended bus route from Dunlavin to Newbridge will provide a regular service through Kilcullen on a 7-day basis, writes Brian Byrne.
This was confirmed to Cllr Tracey O'Dwyer yesterday at a meeting between Kildare County Council and the National Transport Authority.
The 129 service is one of a number of new or extended links to be implemented later this year or in early 2024. It will have upgraded frequency compared to the current temporary service.
The NTA is to revert to the councillor with a definite timeline for the commencement of the route. They will also assess a request for funding a rural connectivity route in Brannockstown.
