Spout packed tonight for Dennis Hogan world title defence

It's a packed house of Dennis Hogan fans in The Spout tonight as he gets set to defend his IBO World Super-Welterweight Title in 3Arena Dublin, writes Brian Byrne. 

His bout against JJ Metcalf is on the undercard for Katie Taylor's big fight with Chantelle Cameron. It's the former Cross & Passion student's first fight in Ireland since becoming a professional in 2011.

And tomorrow The Spout will hold its own Homecoming event from 1pm with the Kilcullen fighter now based in Australia. It will feature live music and a charity auction.

UPDATE: Metcalf won the title in a 12-round unanimous decision.
