Sports Partnership Hill Walking Festival
The second Hill Walking Festival organised by the Kildare Sports Partnership kicked off on Saturday last with a 13km trek from Laragh village, taking in Trooperstown Hill and Paddock Hill.
The Festival continues through May, with a walk next Sunday starting at the Glendalough Visitor Centre to Derrybawn Bridge. Again it is 13km, and participants will set out at 9.30am.
On Saturday 20 May, a 13km walk of Djouce Mountain and Mason's Glen will begin at 9.30am from the Pier Gates New Car Park.
The final walk of the Festival will be on Sunday 21 May from the Curragh Racecourse Grandstand, starting at 1.30pm. It will be 10km long and will be guided and narrated as part of the the KSP's Brigid 1500 commemoration.
