Support Daffodil Day

Today is Daffodil Day and the Kilcullen collectors for the Irish Cancer Society fundraiser are all at the usual collection points, writes Brian Byrne. Some are veterans of at least 25 years of helping out with the initiative.
It's the 36th year that Kilcullen has been involved in the initiative, though for 2020 and 2021 there was no street collection due to the pandemic during which individuals, schools, local businesses and community organisations did their own collections, helping to bridge the gap.
Well in excess of €100,000 has been donated by Kilcullen people to Daffodil Day over the three and a half decades.
Collection point are Daybreak, Nolan's Butchers, Eurospar and Centra.
