Council would welcome suggestions for Kilcullen youth space

If any local youth groups have suggestions for suitable locations for a Youth and Civic Space in Kilcullen, they will be welcomed by Kildare County Council, writes Brian Byrne.

This was the response at yesterday's meeting of the Kildare-Newbridge Municipal District to a query from Cllr Tracey O'Dwyer.

The councillor had asked for an update on any progress made towards purchasing a premises for such a space. Officials noted that the Council's Community Department hadn't been approached for a facility by any established youth group in the town, but it would welcome any suggestions from any such group.

The response noted that there is 'limited suitable premises available in the area'.
