Brigid's Well interpretive sign mooted

An interpretive sign for St Brigid’s Well in the Valley park could be a project for the Brigid 1500 initiative, the recent meeting of Kilcullen Community Action heard, writes Brian Byrne.

Noel Clare said such a sign could both explain the background to the well, also the details of habitat on that area, including deposits of tufa. “There is grant money available for things like this,” he noted.

The well construction was part of the development of the Valley during the 1970s by Kilcullen Community Council. It includes a specially-commissioned sculpture by the late Fr Henry Flanagan OP.
