Tia Burke in the Olympia Theatre next Sunday

Singer-songwriter and former CPC student Tia Burke is fulfilling a long-held dream this Sunday when she plays the Olympia Theatre in Dublin, branded as 3Olympia since 2021, writes Brian Byrne.

Tia will be the supporting act for a concert by Self Esteem, the stage name for English singer Rebecca Lucy Taylor.

Tia was support for Luka Bloom last March in two performances at the Red Hot Music Club in Fallons.

A graduate of the CPC Class of 2020 and from Kildare town, Tia launched her first single and her own composition Spinning in Circles on Spotify shortly afterwards. She has busked on Dublin's Grafton Street, and was the winner of both the Edenderry Busking Festival and the June Fest Busking competitions in 2019.

While still at school she was making a name for herself on the Dublin circuit, including the Underground, Fibbers, and once in the famous Whelan’s venue. Now she's really looking forward to Sunday night next in the Olympia. "It has always been such a huge dream of mine to perform my music at 3Olympia," she says.
