Strong finish to ‘Every Step Counts’

The completion of the My Life Every Step Counts challenge last Wednesday saw Kilcullen GAA and supporters from the community reach a total of 34,638 kilometres, writes Brian Byrne.
That put Kilcullen GAA in sixth place in Leinster over the five weeks of the challenge.
The club’s Liam Cronin described the result as ‘amazing’ by 193 walkers — the third highest number of participants of any club in the province.
“We were overwhelmed by the response,” he said. “And next year, fingers crossed, we will compete again and break into the top five in Leinster.”
Liam also thanked all who took part in the ‘Lights Up’ walks in association with Operation Transformation over the past six weeks, noting particularly the complimentary water provided by Britvic Ireland each night courtesy of Nick Egan.
