Good progress in Every Step Counts Challenge
The 185 walkers from Kilcullen GAA and the community who are taking the MyLife Every Step Counts Challenge have totalled 21,579km in 24 days, 6,922km of them in the past week, writes the club's Liam Cronin. This places Kilcullen GAA in 6th position in Leinster among 251 participating clubs.
There are 12 days remaining in the challenge, and new walkers are needed to sign up if last year's 35,938.5km is to be bettered.
To join, download the App - MyLife by Irish Life from the App Store or Google Play Store. On the MyLife app go to: Social > Challenges > Pending > Every Steps Counts + (Leinster) > Kilcullen GAA.
The challenge is a great way for participants to get rewarded for tracking their distance during the 2023 ‘Ireland Lights Up’, which last Monday night had 37 walkers doing four laps of the town from Kilcullen GAA Training pitch across from the Astro pitch.
We welcome all community members to come together for the walk, catch up with neighbours and friends or banish those winter blues to participate at 8pm each Monday night for the next three weeks, up to 13 February 2023. We will keep the walk going next Monday 6 February at 8pm even though it is a Public Holiday Monday.
