Generous support for Jeremy Burke fund

A fundraising initiative for the benefit of the Kevin Bell Repatriation Trust organised in memory of the late Jeremy Burke has raised almost double its target, writes Brian Byrne. 

Jeremy, from Kilcullen, died unexpectedly last weekend at the age of 27, in Toronto, and the GoFundMe page was set up by Barry Comerford with the permission of the Kelly and Burke family, to help with the process of bringing Jeremy home. 

The Kevin Bell Repatriation Trust was founded by the parents of Newry man Kevin Bell, who was killed in a hit-and-run collision in New York in 2013. The Trust  helps with the financial hardship of bereaved families repatriating to Ireland loved ones who have died abroad in sudden or tragic circumstances. The charity has been helping the Burke family with the arrangements for Jeremy.
