Kilcullen local Patricia Byrne will be doing the Lahinch Christmas Day Swim this year, and is hoping to raise funds for KARE Kilcullen.

The event has been a fixture on the Co Clare town's calendar since 1989, when it was set up as a local fundraiser by PJ Crotty and John Fawl.

Anyone wishing to support Patricia and KARE Kilcullen can do so via a donation box behind the bar in The Spout.
