Big C Choir on Nationwide on Monday

The Big C Choir, which has had a regular Kilcullen element amongst its cross-Kildare membership since it was founded, will be featuring on RTE TV’s Nationwide on Monday night, writes Brian Byrne.

The programme has had filming sessions at the home of its founder, Christina O’Connell and also at their rehearsals on the campus of the Gaelscoil on the Green Road, Newbridge.

The choir membership are people who have survived cancer, and the musical director is currently Owen Lynch.

The Nationwide slot will have a Christmas theme, and several members have been interviewed by the programme makers, including Kilcullen’s Pat Kelly.
