New defibrillator for Halverstown

A new defibrillator will will be installed at St Joseph’s NS in Halverstown in the coming weeks, writes Brian Byrne. The unit was bought by the Old Kilcullen Area Community Association with the support of Local Property Tax through Kildare County Council.

A special cabinet to store the device has been donated by Provincial Security of Market Square Kilcullen.

The unit was displayed at yesterday’s Christmas Market held at the school, which was a very successful event. “It’s a great comfort to the community to know that it will be there,” says Cllr Tracey O’Dwyer, who also congratulated all involved in organising the Christmas Market.
