Tebi Rex & Guests at Riverbank Arts Centre

A free musical event in the Riverbank Arts Centre on Saturday 15 October will thrill young aficionados of alternative hip-hop, bedroom pop and Kanye West-style bangers, writes Brian Byrne.
And if all of that is a mystery to you, you can either ignore it or go along and gain a current arts form education as well as possibly a lot of enjoyment.
It's a co-production by Riverbank and Word Up Collective, which latter manages a kaleidoscope of current Irish talent in music and spoken word.
Artists taking part in the gig, which is supported by Kildare County Council and funded by the Department of Tourism, Culture, Arts, Gaeltacht, Sport and Media’s Local Live Performance Programming Scheme, include Tebi Rex (Matt Ó and Max Zanga), Daire Patel, and Shollah (formerly known as Nxbody) in an evening compered by Sasha Terfous, Poet Laureate for Wexford.
The free tickets can be booked at the Box Office in person or by telephone on 045 4438327 Monday to Friday 9.30am-5pm (closed for lunch 2-2.30) and Saturday 10am-1pm, or 24/7 on www.riverbank.ie. Tickets are limited to five per transaction.
