Evelyn becomes an amateur drama adjudicator

Kilcullen's Evelyn O'Sullivan, founder of the Drama Dynamics School of Speech and Drama, has been accepted as an associate member of the Association of Drama Adjudicators, writes Brian Byrne.
The ADA is the professional body for drama adjudicators, and Evelyn will be travelling around the country to drama festivals. She will be adjudicating the adjudicating the Kiltyclogher full-length festival in March 2023.
"It will be a privilege to share my knowledge, passion and enthusiasm for Irish amateur theatre groups through the ADA," Evelyn says.
An accomplished actor herself — her 'Shirley Valentine' presentation in Kilcullen in 2015, directed by Eunice Lavelle, was a quintessential tour de force — Evelyn established Drama Dynamics back in 2005, soon after moving to Kilcullen.  Since then, with school plays and plays and performances by child and adult pupils, the Teen Theatre initiatives, as well as directing in the local schools, she has been involved in well over 50 productions.
The end of year presentation with her pupils in June of this year showcased some of the talents of some 100 students, back for their first live performance since the pandemic closed such things down.
