Local Heritage Week events today

National Heritage Week 2022 will be celebrated by the Ballyshannon Action Group today with a walking tour starting at Ballyshannon Hall at 11am, writes Brian Byrne. The hall will also have an exhibition of historical artefacts, documents and pictures. 

The walking tour will feature the local mass rock, Ballyshannon church and the original site of Ballyshannon Castle.

Another local event is the Naturally Wild Biodiversity Workshop at The Tanyard in Ballitore, starting at noon and running until 3pm. This is a family event and very much recommended for children aged 5-12 years ... and, of course, their parents. Lots of fun facts about bees, bugs and biodiversity, and a puppet show by Dale's Dinos. This event is run by the Ballitore Biodiversity Group.
