20th Mac & Norman Rally today

The 20th Mac & Norman Vintage Rally takes place today, in aid of the Irish Cancer Society, writes Brian Byrne.

Registration at Sully's Yard is from 10.30am and the convoy moves off from 1pm.

A shorter route this year will bring the vehicles in via Logstown, and anyone wishing to donate can do so with bucket collectors at Brannockstown, Kilcullen, and at the finish at Walls of Kilgowan. Donations can also be made directly to the bank account — Vintage Tractor Drive, Bank of Ireland, IBAN IE53BOFI90114029181909, BIC BOFIIE2D. A name reference should be used for that last.

This is the first full live event for two years. The Rally has raised almost €525,000 since it was inaugurated to raise funds for the Irish Cancer Society.
