Cat-loving volunteers needed by KWWSPCA

Volunteers are needed by the Kildare West Wicklow SPCA to help with the large number of cats and kittens that they have in their care, writes Brian Byrne.

They are needed for 2-3 hours in the morning or evening on a one or two days a week regular roster.

The work at the charity's Animal Shelter near Athgarvan involves the feeding of the cats, cleaning their cages, administering medication and socialising with them. Training will be given on site.  

Volunteers must be over 21 and have their own transport. Usually, the organisation tries to have two volunteers on duty at any one time, but there might be times when they would have to work on their own.
