River Cafe for Ukraine day raised over €2,000

Today's 'Sunday for Ukraine' event in the River Cafe raised €2,114 for the Irish Red Cross Ukraine Crisis Appeal, writes Brian Byrne.

Proprietor Paul Treacy says the support for the event realised 'twice what we would have hoped for'.

He thanks all in Kilcullen who came along to support the initiative, and also the cafe staff — Becky, Fiona, Kate, Dylan, Abbey and Erin — 'for keeping it all going'.
