Orange storm warning for Kildare

An Orange Weather Alert has been issued by Met Eireann for Carlow, Dublin, Kildare, Kilkenny, Laois, Offaly, Wexford, Wicklow, Munster, and Galway.

Storm Eunice will track quickly over Ireland tonight and Friday morning. In the Kildare area rain and sleet will become widespread from this evening with snow possible on high ground. It will become stormy from a southwest direction with severe and potentially damaging gusts overnight, the winds becoming northwesterly in the west later.

The warning is valid from 3am on Friday until 11am.
