Next stage of Kilcullen Design Statement for discussion

The next stage of the Kilcullen Design Statement project is to be discussed at a meeting tomorrow between Kilcullen Community Action and the consultants, writes Brian Byrne.
At the meeting, representatives of the Paul Hogarth Company will present an analysis of the first phase public consultation for the project undertaken last November, which comprised a survey conducted online and in-person during a Drop-In Day. The survey achieved a response rate of over 600 people, with 164 school children from both Scoil Bhríde and the Cross and Passion College having taken the time to share thoughts and hopes for ‘their’ Kilcullen.
It is hoped that the meeting, which will be virtual, will also agree on a plan to run the next stage of the project, a series of thematic workshops.
The Kilcullen Design Statement project is funded by County Kildare Leader Partnership and grants from KCC through Cllrs Tracey O’Dwyer and Rob Power.
