Vacancies at Kilcullen Community Childcare & Education Centre


KCCEC is recruiting for Two AIM Support worker positions to work alongside our experienced Childcare Team. Role: AIM Support Worker.

Job Description: Responsible for assisting in developing and coordinating support to children participating in ECCE setting. Reporting to: KCCEC Manager.

Duties and Responsibilities
• Collaborate with Manager and KCCEC Team for the purpose of implementing pre-school curriculum and individual child support goals.
• Co-ordinate the implementation of activities suitable for pre-school children in classroom.
• Maintain room, and equipment to ensure the health and safety of children at all times.
• Ensure a good standard of hygiene.
• Attend meetings and undergo training as required.
• Be aware of all policies and follow same.
• Be aware of child protection procedures and advise manager should you have any concerns about a child.
• Maintain strict confidentiality, any breach of confidentiality about children or their families will be treated very seriously.
• Perform other reasonable and relevant duties as may be assigned from time to time.

Person Specifications:
• Minimum FETAC level 5 in Childcare or SNA qualification.
• Minimum 1 year work experience in a busy childcare environment.
• Ability to work as part of a team.
• Kind, friendly and responsive to the needs of children
• Good communication skills, fun loving and active.
• Great sense of humour.
• Occupational first Aid desirable.
• Must complete Garda Vetting.

Hours of work: Part-time 15hrs per week, 9am to 12pm Monday to Friday. Term Time Only. Rate of Pay: €14.00 per hour.
