Two events today not to miss
A reminder of two important local events today which are worth attending, writes Brian Byrne.
For those who want to do a bit more sustainable local transport, but the old bike is a bit dodgy, there's a free Bicycle Repair Clinic this morning at the Community Centre. It's part of the Climate Action Weekend organised by the Kildare Public Participation Network. Any parts needed will be charged for. The Clinic runs from 10.30am-1.30pm.
In the Town Hall there's a Drop In Clinic for those who want to find out more about the Kilcullen Design Statement currently under development. Organised by the Kilcullen Community Action project team in association with consultants Paul Hogarth and Company, the Clinic is also an opportunity to fill in the initial survey which is part of the process. An online version of the survey can also be accessed. Drop In times are from 11am-4pm, and all covid protocols will be observed.
Suggestion: Bring your bike to get it sorted, then cycle down to the Town Hall.
