Explanatory flyers on Kilcullen Design Statement project

Kilcullen Community Action is distributing an explanatory flyer to homes, local organisations and businesses, on the Kilcullen Design Statement project, writes Brian Byrne.

Consultants are currently working on the project which will provide a framework for the town's development over the coming years and decades.

The concept provides for volunteers from KCA working in partnership with Kildare County Council, elected representatives and other agencies. It will provide an opportunity for all sections of the community to work together in a creative way to get the best outcome. The flyers emphasise that everyone in Kilcullen should have their say on where they want to see the town in the future.

The work is being carried out by the Paul Hogarth Company, with funding provided by Kildare Leader and local sources, including LPT funds provided by councillors.

While there will be many opportunities for public participation over the coming months, KCA urges anyone with ideas already formed to email them to kilcullencommunityaction@gmail.com, or give them to any KCA member.
