Ballyshannon auction postponed

The auction organised by the Ballyshannon Action Group for 4 December has been postponed due the high level of covid infections writes Brian Byrne.

The event was to take place in Dowlings of Ballyshannon, but will now be held in the new year.

The auction is one of a series of fundraising activities towards the costs of Ballyshannon's fight against the proposed quarry at the former Racefield farm.

Quarry developers Kilsaran were granted permission for the project on appeal to An Board Pleanala, after they had been refused by KIldare County Council.

The Ballyshannon Action Group have sought a Judicial Review of the Bord Pleanala decision.
