Spiders busy on the bridge

Walking down town this evening I was tipped off by Frances Moloney about the amazing spiders webs spun between the bridge railings, writes Brian Byrne.

She said one of her dogs is afraid of spiders which brought them to her attention.

These few shots show just some of the activity, which also demonstrates how effective the night-time webs are in catching tiny flies, meals for the web-spinners.
