Residents out in numbers for clean-up and community day

The weather was good and mood was cheerful as residents of Ballyshannon turned out in large numbers to clean up the Racefield Road verges, writes Brian Byrne.

We picture some of them here, and more were coming as the Diary left.

A video is being made to highlight their campaign against what a quarry proposed by Kilsaran would do to their quiet rural space.

All were due to meet afterwards at Dowlings for well-earned refreshments.
