Course for second level entrants

An online preparatory course for children entering second level education in August is being offered by Kings and Clowns School of Theatre and Communications, writes Brian Byrne.

The course will include an introduction to Shakespearean language and the principal plays, as well as presentation and speaking skills.

Techniques in analysing poems and studying poets are also part of the course, and essay writing and study techniques will also be taught.

Mindfulness and relaxation exercises will be an important part of the course, for which there are a total of 20 places. More information and booking at 085 8709953.
