Writing for Children day at Ballynafagh

A Woodland Writing Retreat on 21 July at Ballynafagh Lake near Prosperous is aimed at those who want to write stories for children, writes Brian Byrne.

Organised by Emma-Jane Leeson, author of the Johnny Magory series of books, the day will run from 10am-4pm and will work with participants on inspiration, character development and plotting, and learning the tricks and techniques needed to create their own children’s story.

A guided walk around the European Special Area of Conservation Ballynafagh Lake will be part of the day. Refreshments will be provided, while participants are asked to bring their own lunches. Covid protocols will be observed.
