Treasure Hunt at June Fest encourages Newbridge tour

A Treasure Hunt is under way in Newbridge at the moment as part of the celebrations of the tenth year of June Fest, writes Brian Byrne.

The Treasure Hunt will run until 13 June and involves visiting 26 locations on a map and filling in associated worksheets, downloadable from here, over a 5km route.

The event is in association with Newbridge Library and €750 worth of prize vouchers are sponsored by Glenveagh Homes.

Amongst the wide range of activities for June Fest 2021 are an exhibition of photographs outside several locations in the town by the South Kildare Photography Club, the Yarn Bombing of the Linear Park which is getting a lot of attention, audio virtual tours of 'The Barracks' area of Newbridge and of the Gibbet Rath, and more.
