Calverstown road safety concern over young people

Kilcullen Gardai have spoken to  youths gathering on the Calverstown to Narraghmore Road in recent days, following concerns raised about road safety, writes Brian Byrne.

Residents driving in the area have highlighted the danger of coming suddenly on the groups at an area known as Powell's Bridge.

Some have reported teenagers standing in the middle of the road, others sitting with their feet on the road. The situation has been described as 'an accident waiting to happen'.

Gardai from Kilcullen spoke to different groups yesterday, giving them safety advice and moving them on.
