Convivial gathering returns to The Spout

Well, it was The Spout first past the post this morning, and an early start to ending the long covid drought of convivial pub gathering, writes Brian Byrne.

Tommy Dignam and Marian Courtney are delighted to see customers again, for the moment in the Beer Garden but looking forward to 5 July when full indoor hospitality returns.

Tommy, pictured above with Team Spout's Derek, Leanne and Amy, also wants to say thanks to the loyal customers who availed of the pub's drinks delivery and collect service during the lockdown.

"It helped us all stay in touch with each other," he said this morning.
