Weatherday: Blitz on Belfast

A cloudy start. Some sunny spells possible. Temperature up to 8deg in light westerly winds.

Showers in late afternoon will persist through much of the evening.

On this day in 1941, Belfast was bombed by the German Luftwaffe, killing 13 people. It was the first of four air raids through April and May, killing over 1,000 people and damaging half the homes in the city.
