Sallins Bypass opens today
The new Sallins Bypass opens today at 11am. The link will ease congestion in Sallins and offers another way from mid-Kildare towards parts of North Kildare.
It is the second phase of the overall M7 widening scheme. It has been funded by the Department of Transport, Transport Infrastructure Ireland (TII) and Kildare County Council and constructed by the Siac/Colas joint venture.
The new road is expected to take significant traffic out of the village of Sallins creating a safer travel environment particularly for vulnerable road users within the village and surrounding area.
Access to the Bypass is from the M7 Junction 9a or via Millennium Park from Naas.
