Butterfly identification course

As summer gets closer, we can look forward to watching the butterflies flit around and through our gardens, writes Brian Byrne. Wouldn't you like to know how to identify them?

Well, the National Biodiversity Data Centre is running a free online course for people to learn to do just that.

The course is suitable both for those completely new to the topic, or who want to brush up on their identification skills.

It can be used in conjunction with butterfly identification swatches used in the field, which can be bought from the NBDC's shop.
