Trees for Kilcullen estates, schools, this week

As part of National Tree Week, the Kilcullen Pollinator Group will be planting trees around Kilcullen in coming days, writes Brian Byrne.

The native Birch, Alder and Oak saplings are being provided by Easy Treesie, and estates which have signed up to the Pollinator & Biodiversity Plan will be getting the trees, along with CPC and Scoil Bhride.

Easie Treesie is a part of Crann, Trees for Ireland, and has a target of planting a million trees with the help of a million Irish school-children, by 2023. The project was featured on last evening's broadcast of Nationwide on RTE television.
