The Sult collective brings 11 artists online
Kilcullen sculptor and artist Noel Scullion is one of 11 County Kildare creative people who are featured on Sult, an artist-led collective with the aim of providing an online outlet for its members' work, writes Brian Byrne.
Sult was formed as a marketing platform during the first Covid lockdown, and is a one stop shop for those interested in purchasing all kinds of art. The members include Stained Glass and Ceramic artists, Painters, Printmakers and Sculptors.
The other members along with Noel are Margaret Becker, Pamela de Bri, Sylvia Hemingway, Lisa Kavanagh, Lia Laimbock, Mary McGrath, Ann McKenna, Brian O'Loughlin, Mary Ronayne, and Eleanor Swan.
The website gives a gallery of pieces for each artist, and details of how they can be contacted and items purchased. As member Margaret Becker says, 'Art contributes something to a person’s soul and it is all about the soul. People need their soul to be nourished'. There's food for the soul in even just browsing the galleries.
There's also a Facebook page (Sult Artists) and Sult can be contacted through Instagram (SultArtists).
