Further drop in local LEAs infection rates


The Covid-19 infection rate in the Newbridge Local Electoral Area has continued to fall, and was at 64.8 per 100,000 population for the 14 days up to 16 November, writes Brian Byrne.

This compares to 95.8  for the 14-day period to 9 November as reported on on the Covid-19 Ireland Data Hub.

The national infection rate at 121.3 is further down from the 155.5 reported seven days previously.

Kilcullen is part of the Newbridge LEA. The rates in neighbouring LEAs are Naas 102.2 (previously 168.7), Athy 75.4 (82.9), Baltinglass 26.8 (34.4) and Kildare 73.9 (77.8).
