Woodbine Books streamed talk with Hazel Gaynor tomorrow

A reminder that Woodbine Books have teamed up with Antonia's Bookstore in Trim, Co Meath and The Maynooth Bookshop, to host a series of virtual bookish events for Irish Book Week.

The first of these online events will take place on 22nd October at 7pm and will feature Dawn Behan in conversation with award-winning and bestselling Kilcullen author Hazel Gaynor. They will discuss the strong Irish literary scene, from writers to bookshops, as well as Hazel's new book The Bird in the Bamboo Cage, launched in the middle of lockdown (and just yesterday announced on the shortlist for this year's An Post Irish Book Awards in the Popular Fiction category). For those who want to get ahead of the queues this year, Hazel will then give some of her book recommendations for this Christmas.

Tickets to view the streamed event are free but places must be reserved. There is also an option to purchase a signed book with your ticket, either for collection from one of the three bookshops or to be posted within Ireland. Tickets can be reserved here
