Text Alert members to be surveyed

The Kilcullen Community Text Alert Group will be conducting a survey to all members of the scheme over the coming days, writes Brian Byrne.

The Group wants to ascertain the relevance of the scheme to all members as it stands at the moment, and to see if they are happy to continue with it.

Apart from the text alert element, the Group has installed carbon monoxide alarms for some members of the community, and is currently working with Gda Jon Brien in organising monitor alarms for elderly and vulnerable people in the community.

"The survey will not be accessible to those who do not have smartphones," says Sabina Reddy. "Many of our older members fall into that bracket, and we will decide on alternative methods to bring the survey to them."
