Pinkeen Stream bridge to be raised at MD meeting
The matter of a pedestrian bridge over Pinkeen Stream is to be raised by both Motion and Question at the next meeting of the Kildare Newbridge Municipal District, writes Brian Byrne. The meeting is scheduled for Wednesday 21 October starting at 10am.
Cllr Tracey O'Dwyer has a motion asking Kildare County Council to examine and carry out a feasibility study to install a pedestrian bridge over the stream. Cllr Fiona McLoughlin Healy has a question on the agenda asking the Council to 'clarify and outline the next steps required to provide a safe passage for the hundreds of children crossing the Pinkeen Stream daily'.
Cllr O'Dwyer also has a motion asking the Council to assess and identify a suitable location for a pedestrian crossing on the Naas Road coming into Kilcullen.
