'No bonfires' appeal by Council

Kildare County Council is leading an appeal for people not to contribute materials for any bonfires this Halloween, writes Brian Byrne.

The appeal is supported by community groups and businesses across the county and by the Garda Síochána.

The Council asks everybody to respect both the environment and the health of families and neighbours by not setting bonfires.
