Thumbs up for Jane's venison sausage

This time of the year, among the seasonal gourmet sausages produced by Jane Russell in The Link Business Park is one made from venison, writes Brian Byrne.

The Diary asked an independent taster who knows his meat to try some, and his result is in.

"Excellent sausage, delicately spiced with a velvety texture … probably the best I have ever tasted."
