Online theatre this evening with 'Guy'
In a time when coronavirus has effectively killed off normal theatre for the time being, a short fix online this evening might be of interest to drama fans, writes Brian Byrne.
From 7pm today, the Luna Collective will premiere a half-hour presentation, 'Guy', on Youtube here.
It's about a night out in a club and issues of consent, and the play contains scenes of sexual violence and flashing images. Viewers discretion is advised.
The play was rehearsed and produced with appropriate social distancing, and Luna Collective used the Liffey Studio for the filming, courtesy of Crooked House Theatre Company.
Written by Ryan O'Donnell, 'Guy' features music by LOWTAG and Greg Kearns, and stars Rachel O'Sullivan as 'Girl', Ryan O'Donnell as 'Boy', and Graham Butler Breen as 'Guy'.
