Uplifting evening for Pieta House
Though it started with drizzle, the voices of the Kilcullen Gospel Choir, Edel Mac Aodh, and Stephen Clare soon cleared the skies for last night's Pieta House 'Light the Bridge' event, writes Brian Byrne.
Following the first part of the evening at the Dun Ailinne Commemorative Park, the group walked by lantern light to the bridge, where the candles bought by upwards of 500 people were placed to beam through the darkness into morning light. The Gospel Choir's rendition of 'Hallelujah' was a fitting closure.
