Today's food treats trail

For food treats this weekend, Creans will be operating their pop-up bakery sales from the Kilcullen Community Centre between 10am-1pm today, writes Brian Byrne. Bring your own bread bags, containers and cups.

Out on the Carnalway Road, Kalbarri Cookery School's Bake Shop is open today from 10am-2pm, and includes take-away lunches.

In town, Armelle's Kitchen has the usual wide range of sweet treats, and savouries that include Parma Ham & Goat Cheese, Chicken Roulade with Roasted Carrots & Pepper Sauce, and a selection of Quiches. Call on 045 480697, email armelleskitchen@live.ie, or just stop by the shop.

The River Cafe is offering breakfast-lunch from 9am-3pm. Takeout available, and seating for 12 inside and 16 outside.

And the Fallons Gourmet Garage is open as usual, as well as the restaurant now open for lunch and evening meals.
