Kilcullen Canoe Club is back in action every night and on Sunday mornings for existing members, writes Michael P O'Farrell.

if you are interested in joining and haven't paddled a kayak before, we are starting Beginners Courses for new members on 14th July. These beginner training sessions take place over a 4-week period on Tuesdays and Thursday nights, between 7pm-9pm.

Kayakers are trained to Canoeing Ireland (CI) Level 2 standard by CI qualified instructors. Participants must be able to swim and should bring a change of clothes including footwear - there is a high risk of getting wet! Kayaks and equipment will be provided. The cost is €115 for Juniors and €210 for adults. For already competent paddlers the €30 course fee is deducted.

The fee includes KCC club membership through to June 2021. The course is open to all ages, but under-12s must be accompanied on the course by a parent or guardian. Contact Secretary@kilcullencanoeclub.com for details.
